Sarah Augustine is a Tewa (Pueblo) descendant and self-identifies as an internally displaced person. She is the Executive Director of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, a national coalition with global reach. Sarah is the Author of The Land is Not Empty (Herald Press, 2021) and, with Co-Author Sheri Hostetler, So That We and our Children May Live, Confronting the Climate Crisis (Herald Press 2023). She is a columnist for Anabaptist World and regularly contributes articles to both popular and academic publications. 

She has served on the faculty at Heritage University, Central Washington University and Yakima Valley College, and currently serves on the faculty of Goshen College and St. Stephen’s University as an affiliate faculty. 

Sarah Lives with her teenage daughter in Tacoma, Washington.
