Peter Jarrett-Schell currently serves as the chair of the Reparations Task Force of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, and the rector of Calvary Episcopal Church, a historically Black congregation in the district. His debut memoir, Seeing My Skin: A Story of Wrestling with Whiteness, was published in 2019, and he was included in the award-winning, best-selling anthology, Preaching Black Lives [Matter].
