Pastor Julio Hernández is the Executive Director of Congregation Action Network (CAN), where we’re organizing faith communities across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region to accompany immigrant neighbors, strengthen rapid response networks, and advocate for a more just and compassionate immigration system.

CAN Mission

Guided by the values of love and compassion, the Congregation Action Network unites communities and people of faith to live those values, and mobilizes an interfaith network that champions freedom, justice, and dignity for immigrants.

Vision: CAN envisions a world where freedom, justice, safety, dignity, and truth are lived realities, and where excluded communities, especially those without permanent status, are fully protected, fully seen, and able to thrive without fear.
