Joel Simpson is the pastor at First United Methodist Church in Taylorsville, NC, and a Red Letter Christian. In 2017, Joel helped found Unity in Community, a non-profit committed to achieving racial equity in North Mecklenburg County, NC. He helps lead Moral Mondays in NC in partnership with Repairers of the Breach and the Poor People’s Campaign.

Currently, Joel is Pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at Duke University with a focus on Missional Innovation. He has a book coming out next spring on how interfaith relationships can help Christians to be more faithful to love and justice.
