Join us for Monthly Morning Prayer on August 1 at 9 AM ET with Pastor Kevin Riggs, a longtime pastor, educator, and community advocate based in Franklin, Tennessee. For more than 30 years, Pastor Kevin has led Franklin Community Church while also founding organizations that serve people experiencing homelessness and advance justice on a local and global scale.
Pastor Kevin believes that one of the church’s deepest callings is to be the conscience of the community—and he lives that calling boldly, through ministries rooted in advocacy, accompaniment, and hope. From his work in Tennessee prisons to his outreach in Honduras, Pastor Kevin brings a prophetic word grounded in compassion, presence, and the gospel of liberation.
Pastor Kevin will share powerful reflections from his decades-long work on Tennessee’s death row, including his pastoral relationship with Pastor Kevin Burns, a death row inmate and co-author of the book “Today! – The Best Day of My Life.”
This Monthly Morning Prayer follows the liturgy from Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals and is open to all.
